		The Hong Kong Shipyard Ltd., a member of The Hong Kong Ferry Group, has been awarded the ISO9001:2000 (for provision of "ship repairing, fabrication of steelworks, and management of interior renovation") Certificate of Approval in March 2007, which proves the quality of the said services are up to international standard. We shall strive for continuous improvement, and maintain the best services to our customers.

The Hong Kong Shipyard Limited (HKS), incorporated in 1948, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Ferry (Holdings) Co. Ltd. The shipyard is located at North Tsing Yi, Hong Kong, with a total site area of 18,700 square metres, including a 4-storey high administrative building and workshops, with a full time direct workforce of more than hundred and forty strong.

We own the largest and most advanced Syncrolift facility (90m x 20m) in Hong Kong. The Syncrolift has a lifting capacity up to 3,400 tonnes for various types of ships including ferries, work boats, and pleasure crafts. With the flexible ship transfer system, it can drydock a maximum of ten vessels simultaneously.

We also undertake a wide range of ship repairs and maintenance works and offers 24 hours emergency services. In 2001, we had 253 service counts for project size of big and small.

Our major clients include New World First Ferry fleet, Hongkong & Yaumati Ferry fleet, Park Island, Chu Kong Shipping's catamarans, Marine Police launches, South China Towing boats, Government Dockyard, and a variety of work-boats and megayachts.

With a team of experienced and qualified engineering staff and highly skilled workforce coupled with our fully equipped workshops, we are able to provide engineering services for marine, mechanical, electrical and electric, air-conditioning, ship design, and structural steel works.

Our Design Office offers full consultancy services including ship design, inclining experiment, stability calculation, etc.

Apart from marine industry, our Shipyard also has an extended arm in plant work, structural steel construction, civil engineering and building construction.
